Could the committee please advise how documentation of Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome or hyperemesis - cannabinoid induced should be coded?

VICC advises that the correct codes to assign for Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome or hyperemesis – cannabinoid induced are R11 Nausea and vomiting followed by F12.1 Mental and behavioural disorders due to use of cannabinoids, harmful use. This is because there is a documented relationship between the hyperemesis and the cannabinoid use in accordance with ACS 0503 Drug, alcohol and tobacco use disorders.
